Portreath Beach, with the Western Hill headland and Gull Rock in the distance.
The view in the opposite direction, towards the breakwater. The fluffy white clouds are obscuring the sun, more often than not.
The tide is fairly high and there are deep shadows being cast by the cliffs and clouds.

Boulders cover this part of the beach by the headland.

Overlooking Portreath Beach from Western Hill. The light could be better.
Western Hill to Porth-cadjack Cove
Overlooking Western Cove from the coast path on Western Hill. The narrow inlet of Ralph's Cupboard is behind the first cliff on the left (The Horse). The cliff shadows were too deep to capture it on this particular walk.
The coast path across Western Hill, with buildings at Portreath on the right.
Western Cove from the opposite direction.
Porth-cadjack Cove and Samphire Island. Crane Islands lie in the distance.
