Sandymouth Beach
From the South West Coast Path above the Sandymouth Beach area, near Bude, on the North Cornwall coast.
A sunny day in April
View of the coastline surrounding Sandymouth Beach. Cattle graze on the grassy cliff on the opposite side of the beach entrance.
Overlooking the beach and turquoise sea. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to visit the beach that day.
The tide is very low and a huge area of sand is exposed.
The coast path passes through the Sandymouth National Trust gate.
Overlooking the Sandymouth Beach area from further south. The entrance to the beach lies towards the middle right of the image.
The eroded sandstone beds of the wave-cut platform are folded into an eye-catching anticline; the tip of the fold is pointing to the sea.
The cliff tops are covered in dandelions.
View of the coastline from further south, nearer Northcott Mouth.
