South of Perranporth Beach

Images overlooking Perranporth Beach from the South West Coast Path to the south.

April

Perranporth Beach at high tide
Perranporth Beach at very high tide. The waves are nearly overlapping the low wall by the car park.
Perranporth Beach at low tide
The view from further along the coast path. Chapel Rock lies on the left and the headland to the right is Cotty's Point. This image was taken near the beginning of my walk at low tide. The sands at Perranporth Beach and Perran Sands Beach beyond form a single expanse. I think the flowers in the foreground are Spanish bluebell garden escapes.
Perran Bay with gorse
Perran Bay from south of Droskyn Point (to the right). Gorse is blooming in the foreground.

January

Perran Bay in winter
Perran Bay under a pale blue winter sky. The tide is low and the beach seems vast. The promontory in the distance - about 2 miles away - is Ligger Point.
